Crafty Hobbies started with a simple truth: creativity heals. In 2014, the brand was founded by Justin’s ex-housemate, but when Justin took it on, it became something deeply personal. Living with ADHD, depression, and anxiety, Justin discovered that crafting wasn’t just a pastime — it was therapy.
Each diamond dot placed, each cross-stitch completed, became a quiet victory. For a moment, the noise of the world fell away, replaced by calm focus and the satisfaction of finishing something beautiful. Hanging up a completed piece wasn’t just decoration — it was proof of resilience, a reminder that joy and clarity are possible.
Justin realised that if crafting could make such a difference in his own life, it could help others too. Crafty Hobbies became his way of sharing that gift: offering quality products, complete kits, and most importantly, genuine care and understanding. Unlike retailers that rush through sales, Justin takes time to listen. He knows what it feels like to be judged or dismissed, and he built Crafty Hobbies as the opposite: a safe, supportive space where everyone belongs.
